Something Beyond

Christianity seems at first to be all about morality, all about duties and rules and guilt and virtue, yet it leads you on, out of all that, into something beyond. One has a glimpse of a country where they do not talk of those things, except perhaps as a joke. Every one there is filled full with what we should call goodness as a mirror is filled with light. But they do not call it goodness. They do not call it anything. They are not thinking of it. They are too busy looking at the source from which it comes.

Congratulations, You Have Failed!

I remember talking to a group and proclaiming, "We have succeeded! In what? In failing!" And everyone smiled. For we finally recognized that we had succeeded in what we were supposed to do, which was to fail. "Everyone is telling us that we failed in what we were supposed to succeed in. But the truth is we have succeeded in what we were supposed to fail in. Now, we can get on with it. We can get on with what is true life."
We usually quote Galatians 2:20 apart from its context. It immediately follows Paul's admonition to Peter concerning the law. When Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ," he was referring to his death to the law. Paul was saying, "The old me died on the cross with Christ, and when I died, I died to trying to keep the law. Trying to keep the law is living according to the flesh, with me and my efforts as my point of reference. I died to myself as my point of reference. Now, Christ in me is my point of reference. He is living His life through me."
As believers, we no longer live under the law, looking to it to tell us what to do and not do, then trying our best to do it. Instead, we live on the faith principle, the inner life principle, of who really is our life-Christ. We trust that He directs us, opens or closes doors for us, and speaks directly to us, giving us a message or whatever is needed for the occasion. We trust that He is living through us. We may not feel it at any given moment, but we live by faith that He is our life.

Tough Spots...Difficult People

Thank God for the tough spots He put you in. That is where He is getting His love through you to the unlovely, and to people who harm you. That is how Jesus lived on earth, expressing the love of God to those who criticized and hated Him; and that is how Jesus now lives in us, expressing the same love through us. He has put us among difficult people, so that His supernatural love may be seen by them. So praise the Lord for every tough spot you are in. It is not God’s will to deliver us from tough spots, but in them. There is no other way of getting at those who do not know Him except by those who do living among them.

There is a further and final “recognition” in the Spirit and a big stride beyond the “Be Born Declaration” and all those positions of “committal” to Him. It is not our committal to Him. God's Love

As I lay in bed one evening, my spirit plainly told me "God doesn't see evil."
How can that be, Lord, I asked? we know Jesus conquered evil with his death and resurrection and yet we are not ostriches. We look around us and read the paper and listen to the news and evil appears to be present everywhere. Is it in our own thinking and believing that we see it? Do we not have the mind of Christ? Are we forever replacing our human sight of evil, by seeing only God, all and in all? Is this how He is pressing through us?
I was reminded that God is LOVE, pure, sweet, self-giving, LOVE. Real LOVE (not human love), sees it's own reflection in the loved ones. Corinthians 13 describes it perfectly.
Only when we know who we are, Christ as us, can we live that chapter and replace appearances of evil with God's Love.

There is a day, a season, usually prefaced by many agonizing days, when at last our straining self, stretched and taut like an elastic, gives way...We were crucified with Christ all along, but now faith enters into this intelligently as fact. If we were crucified with Him, we also rose with Him, and now at last we can see that that means the New One within is living His life within us. He always was since redemption, but he had to spend those months and often years working us out of ourselves by walking in us into all sorts of frustrating situations, which we handled wrongly every time by our self-reactions to them; and I reckon the Indwelling Christ has many a laugh as He sees us bumbling and stumbling along, and knows the good though painful lessons we are learning by stubbing our toes on this and then that; but knowing also that we shall see, because He has already started looking out on things His way through our eyes, and will go on until we learn the difference between us looking through our own eyes and He looking through them.

"CAUGHT UP" -HARPAZO- 1 Thess 4:17
"CAUGHT UP" - HARPAZO - 1 Thes 4:17
The term "caught up" depicts a powerful event. The Greek word "harpazo" (Strongs 726) conveys the idea of force suddenly exercised (Vines) and is used to describe a powerful release of God's energy. It means to be taken hold of, to be seized by a power beyond our own. For those who would say “caught up” means to be removed from the earth let us consider the following. Paul was “caught up” to the third heaven and whether in or out of his body but he did not leave the earth; he had access to spiritual realms and heard words which could not be expressed in human language. Philip was “caught away” by the Lord from one place to another but neither did he leave the earth. It seems Ezekiel also had a similar experience. Each received a powerful intervention of God's power which released them from the restrictions of this physical dimension but they were not taken away. (2 Cor 12:2-4, Acts 8:39, Ezk 8:3, 11:24)
The use of this word by the Lord himself reveals its meaning. Jesus used the same word but never said that people are taken out of the world. He said that "harpazo" empowers “men of force” to enter the

He never changes His choice of us. So we walk in recognition of that fact, even when the devil or our friends or we ourselves point an accusing finger at us and say, 'How can you be a manifestation of the indwelling Christ, when you are such a failure?' But, it is a lie and we learn to refuse false condemnations.

Walking in the present is the only way to live. All else I believe, is from the independent one. Sin is spirit, as Norman Grubb said, "We want to make it a thing, a behavior, something we can measure, avoid, and judge ourselves and others by." Jesus reveals it to us so that His blood can be applied and our eyes remain clear from evil and single on Him. Purity of the heart is to will one thing, Kierkegaard said, "Those with a pure heart see God (Jesus)." And He is the purity of our hearts. He doesn't look upon evil so why should we? It only clouds our vision of Him and attempts to pull us back into the past or to fear the future. God IS always in the Present. All of time is Present to Him. Why would I ever want to live in the illusory world when He is here, now? What a Savior! To live IS Christ!
